  Shanghai Gem Foundation’s brief introduction.
  Every child is a gem of the world. Wish they become an outstanding citizen of the society.
Shanghai Gem Foundation completed registration in December of 2016, aiming to continue the work of New York’s Enlightenment Foundation, working in less developed areas of China, funding children in poverty to complete their education. Workers of the foundation and volunteers, will travel twice a year to each area (Gansu, Qinghai, and Yunnan province), to give out each student’s money, check their proper use of subsidy, to individually interview students, and gain in-depth knowledge on the circumstances and difficulties for the school and each student. Every student’s application will firstly be done through their school, then our colleagues will interview them in school, after processing at our office, they will be immediately arranged with a kind benefactor. We also have local partners, who help us arrange contacts, organize untimed local inspections, and provide urgent financial aids. The financial situation of Shanghai Gem Foundation is completely transparent, and entirely made up of our benefactor’s donations with freedom.
